The Mayor’s Commission on Disabilities, as part of Civil Rights Week, will be hosting a panel on accessing city electronic web sites, documents, forms, and problems faced when trying to use city electronic materials.

I am gathering a list of problems people have faced and am asking you to please send a brief example to me;

Aloma Bouma
Chair, Mayor’s Commission on Disabilities
alomabouma at gmail.com<mailto:alomabouma at gmail.com>

Please, I only want a few words, for example, I cannot pay my water bill; The on line tax information does not label links; the download for applications does not activate using a screen reader; or, the PDF document does not allow inserting text or does not indicate the proper form.

This is only to be compiled as a listing of areas blind persons are having with Baltimore City technology. It is intended to show a history of problems but not a full description or discussion of them. I ask again, please, only a few brief words to be listed.

The fire side chat will be Tuesday October 8 so please send your experience to me as soon as you are able. Thank you.
