Hello all:
I feel that this is of strong interest to our chapter, particularly but not
exclusively to those of us who live in or near the downtown area. I
apologize for the short notice, but to my knowledge, while initial
information about this meeting was circulated last week, it only today
included the event location and details to join virtually. I plan to attend
this meeting and encourage those of you who can to also do so, either in
person or virtually.
Warmly,
Chris
Inner Harbor Intersection Improvements & Bike/Ped Wayfinding - Public
Meeting

6:00 PM
Baltimore Convention Center, Room 314-317

Join the Baltimore City Department of Transportation for a public meeting
about upcoming intersection improvements and bike/pedestrian wayfinding
enhancements along Pratt Street in the Inner Harbor. This project is part of
our Complete Streets effort to make downtown Baltimore safer, more
accessible, and easier to navigate.
Planned upgrades include:
* High-visibility continental crosswalks
* ADA-compliant ramps
* Countdown pedestrian signals
* Signals for visually impaired pedestrians
* Bicycle and pedestrian wayfinding signage
* Updated traffic signal infrastructure
Construction is expected to begin in mid-May 2025 and last approximately 9
months, with work taking place overnight from 9PM to 5AM to minimize
disruptions.
Lane closures will be temporary and affect key intersections along Pratt
Street, including Light, Calvert, and President Streets.
