[Greater-Baltimore] My Intro was My First Message to the List, I Hope!

Dear Chapter Family,

	Thanks to all who have greeted us warmly, both on the list and in-person. It is truly an honor to be a part of the Greater Baltimore Chapter and serve alongside those I call my mentors. Please know that I am paying it forward!

	Many of you know me already while we are just getting to know others. I wanted to share a brief introduction because I know I will find some like-minded individuals within the chapter

	Merry (please notice the spelling) and I relocated to Pasadena Maryland on November 21. We live three doors down from our daughter, Aislinn (ASH-lin)  her husband, Jeff, and son, Archer. If you saw the 2025 World Braille Day video of the tour around the Jernigan Institute with Orianna, that was my grandson, Archer!

	I have been a member of the NFB since 1984. I organized the Tampa Bay Chapter in 1987 and the East Hillsborough Chapter in 2001. These two chapters have since merged. I was elected vice president of the National Association of Guide Dog Users in 2004 and elected president in 2006. I retired from NAGDU IN 2019. I founded advocates for service Animal Partners in 2021. You can learn more about this work at <www.serviceAnimals.info>.

	In addition to my advocacy work, Merry and I are avid gardeners. We have already begun our spring garden and are looking forward to learning the cycles of Zone 8!

	I also love to cook. Merry and I often host gatherings at our home, sometimes to celebrate important occasions, sometimes to create a special memory, and sometimes we were just in the mood for a party! No one has ever left our home hungry! For the record, this is a lead-up to my next message.
