As some of you know, the Mayor of Philadelphia is planning on adding an
extra $1 to all shared rides. They are planning a town hall for Tuesday,
April 7, 2026 from 6pm to 7pm at the Kroc Center at 4200 Wissahickon Avenue
to discuss this. If you can, please consider attending and voicing your
opinion or listening in. I will be there if anyone wants to sit together.

While the Mayor’s team says this new tax will mostly affect wealthier
residents, we know ridesharing plays a vital role across Philadelphia. Last
year, 58% of trips were to or from underserved areas, and nearly 1.1
million trips helped people access healthcare. Your input can help

in communities all across the city.

The city is kicking off its public hearing process next week, to hear
directly from Philadelphians about how this proposal will affect them. On
April 7 at 6 pm, the first neighborhood town hall will take place at the
Kroc Center in North Philadelphia, and the city has planned budget hearings
