State convention will take place February 26-March 1, 2026, at the</span><br><span>Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport located at 18740 International</span><br><span>BLVD, Seattle, WA 98188. . We are excited to announce our national</span><br><span>representative this year will be Norma Crosby, treasurer of the National</span><br><span>Federation of the Blind, as well as President of the National Federation of</span><br><span>the Blind of Texas. This event will be packed with various events and</span><br><span>gatherings to learn about the advocacy efforts in the State of Washington</span><br><span>related to blindness, as well as engaging technology and job seeking</span><br><span>seminars, and fun social activities. State Convention will feature sessions</span><br><span>geared toward all individuals including youth, parents, seniors, educators,</span><br><span>etc. Therefore, go ahead and book your hotel and register for this exciting</span><br><span>event. This interactive, in-person workshop</span><br><span>will focus on how to manage documents for braille readers using the braille</span><br><span>displays from APH (Chameleon, Mantis, Monarch), participants will take a</span><br><span>deep dive into best practices for teaching students how to manage and work</span><br><span>with documents in the K-12 classroom. ACVREP and Washington state Clock</span><br><span>hours will be available.
