How functional it is will depend on its size. Which model do you have. If
you don't know, how much did you pay for it? You can get a manual on their
web site.

Subject: [gui-talk] Olympus sound recorder, anyone?

Hi all --
Does anyone else have one?
I bought this little gadget at the 2007 nfb convention, thinking I was
getting something with an accessible interface, but while some of the
functions speak, i don't find it at all easy to use without sight.
Also, it came with a manual that was almost an inch thick, and in print, but

I can't find it now, and between me and my non-tech-savvy Mom, we have not
figured out how to make it work. I snapped a picture of some of the manual
with my knfb reader, and generally played around with the unit, but I think
this would go so much faster with feedback from a hopefully satisfied user.

I have recorded some things on it already, but my current barrier is
managing the sound files.

If anyone cares to make a suggestion, please feel free to post instructions
for simple operations, such as how do I navigate the directories -- and how
is the file system defined/managed?
How do I perform simple operations on a file?

TIA
