Just speaking for myself, I tried really hard to read through this article,
but it's much worse a problem than something like the reference to some tech
gadget outperforming a guide dog being misleading. The whole thing just
wanders around aimlessly. This is journalism without an editor, apparently.
Or maybe I am not realizing because I haven't managed to make myself read to
the end that all it is is a general introduction meant for sighted readers
or newly vision-impaired people telling them about blind tech accessibility
technology and its challenges? I don't know. I thought it was going to be a
profile of this Indian guy in Mountain View and one or two specific things
he's working on and how they'll affect people. Maybe some glimpses into his
daily life, as well as a few more extensive quotes taken from an interview
with him. A tight, focused 800 to 1000 word article.
Sorry. I just find this thing a little crazy-making. Not wishing to argue
about it if someone finds it entertaining or informative. That's fine.
