Ok here is a handy tip for making Jaws 7.1 or later work with firefox
3.0.2
or later.
Please note that you will need firefox 3.0.2 or later, preferably 3.0.5
or
later.
I'm sure Jaws 9 and later does have better support for firefox 3.x
however
the following is presented for those of us who do not wish to upgrade to
the
latest version of Jaws for one reason or another.
First open your shared settings folder.
start ->all programs ->jaws x.xx ->explore jaws ->explore shared
settings.
now open confignames.ini in a text editor like notepad and add the
follwoing
line to the bottom:
firefox3.0=firefox
next time you start firefox it should behave reasonably with Jaws 7.1 or
later.
