All,
Am still researching an alternative to using RapidShare but have been tied up of late. In the mean time, here is the latest beta for WE4Java. As outlined in the change log segment below, this release provides support for navigating through tables, allows announcement of selected text (e.g. using the shift key in combination with the arrow keys), and brings back the multi-line read-only helper dialog with new functionality.
Here is the change log for this release:
Beta Release 0.9.6 - Thursday, 1/15/2009
This release contains the following updates:
* Full support for navigating table displays.
* The Text Helper dialog for assisting in reading multi-line read-only
text areas is back. When you tab into a multi-line read-only area,
the dialog will pop up. The title bar tells you how many lines are in the
text. There is a type of tool bar across the top of the dialog with
3 controls; a check box to turn line wrapping on or off, a copy button
(use alt+c to activate) to copy text to the clipboard, and an exit
button (use alt+x) to close the dialog. When the copy button is activated,
it first checks to see if any text has been selected. If so, only that
text is copied. If not, the full text is copied.
* Provided support for announcing text selection such as shift+right arrow
to select a character, control+shift+right arrow to select a word, or
shift+down arrow to select a line.
NOTE 1: We are still researching the issue with vista not working.
NOTE 2: There is a small issue with screens where 2 read-only text areas
follow one another such as in the About screen of the java control
panel. This is being debugged.
Happy testing and thanks for the feedback!
All,
I have received reports of a bug in the text helper dialog in beta 0.9.6. This issue
was due to sizing of the dialog and has been corrected in the new beta, 0.9.7, available
at the link below:

This is the only update to this release but the bug was significant enough to justify
putting out a new file.
Regards Steve
