Inaugural, the Media Access Group at WGBH will provide live descriptive
narration and captioning for broadcast coverage of Inauguration 2009 on
PBS.

The Lehrer NewsHour will be broadcasting the events live from 11:00AM to
1:30PM EST on Tuesday, January 20. We will have a team of describers
providing narration of visual elements of that coverage (accessible via
the
SAP channel on most televisions), and stenocaptioners providing
captioning
of the audio. Live television description is still very rare, and we
are
pleased to say that long-time corporate sponsor of local news captioning
in
the Boston area, Dunkin' Donuts, is providing funding for the
description.

And, a first this year, the live described coverage will also be
available
simultaneously on the web site of the Joint Congressional Committee on
Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC): <http://www.inaugural.senate.gov/> Our
thanks to MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, Dunkin' Donuts and the JCCIC for
making full access to this historic event possible.
