[gui-talk] SHIFT TAB in Internet Explorer 7

Kelly,

thanks. I'm familiar with all those menus, and have used a couple of them in
the past. So I'll play around with that and see if it fixes any buggy stuff
that's been happening with my browser lately. Seems pretty unlikely that
that will help, but no harm taking a look.
thanks,
joel

Hi,

You can set IE7 and later back to defaults by opening internet options off
the tools menu. Choose the Advanced tab and then the reset button and use
the reset process.

Another option for troublesome add-ons is to use the Manage Add-ons feature
to disale those add-ons. This too is off the tools menu, under
enable/disable add-ons in IE7 and just Manage Add-ons in the betas of IE8.

There is also a no add-ons option for IE. This should be in your
accessories folder off the start menu.

Kelly

Hi Raul,
How do you reset IE to its "total factory defaults?" Can you do this using
just one item in one menu, and if so, which one? Or is it more complicated?
Personally, I can't remember making any speical settings on purpose in my
copy of IE7, but as you say, maybe some external invader has messed
something up.mabye s

Thanks,
Joel\

I did and fixed it by resetting IE to its total factory defaults. Some
add-on, tool bar, or whatever caused shift-tab to not function. This
would even not work if there was no screen reader running so it's not
their fault <smile> but you knew that. It may be spybot, or it may be
some tool bar.

Good luck.
