I'm reserving judgment until it's been reviewed by a competent user of such
gizmos.  It sounds a little out there but the concept isn't beyond the
boundaries of my considerable imagination.  I believe the touch screen just
might be doable.

What interests me most about the Iphone are the many apps that you can
run on it.  But the vast majority of these apps are written by 3rd
parties.  I wonder how many of them will be accessible.  otherwise, this
seems more like a gimmick than anything else, but I do embrace the
concept of having as much freedom of choice as possible.

I disagree.  I am glad for all the access possibilities that are
offered. 
Perhaps this is something true for most of us who once could see things
visually, but I for one hope such improvements continue.  It is a shame
JFW and WindowEyes cost more than most PCs nowadays in my humble
opinion.
