On the tools menu is the manage add-ons menu an one of ht echoices is Enable
or Disable Add-Ons.  There is a link on this dialogue box to this address:
http://www.ieaddons.com/en/
This is for Internet Explorer 7 but it probably will be the same for 8.
Then you just have to select the add-ons.  Chances are your add-ons were
just disabled and not erased.
