[gui-talk] information on a U S B portable disk drive

Al,

what does all that mean? I'm not someone who's able to just talk like that,
please understand. I barely remember that FAT stands for files allocation
table, and I don't have any idea what that means. What is this other thing
you're talking about? NT something? When I look at the properties of almost
any file on my Win P Home computer, it says its FAT 32, and then says how
many bytes, or megs big it is. That's all I ever see. What is this other set
of initials?. Something like System Access for Azerbaijanis? If jaws knew
more, it would have pronounced that properly but I'm not going to spend half
an hour figureing out how to trick jaws into saying it right. Sorry. People
from Azerbaijan. Hmm. That's a little closer to reality, although not quite
right. I should have thought of some other exotic country with a simpler
name. Jaws is such a hard taskmaster. I have to really be on the ball to
trick it into saying a lot of things properly. That's just part of the fun
of the blessed inconvenience, for which I give thanks every day for the
challenges it puts before me so my efforts will increase my courage and
deepen my understanding.

Okay. How about is that System Access for Greeks? Jaws had no trouble with
that one. I had to try a few country names before I hit on it, though,
because it couldn't speak properly about people from a few other countries.
This has to do with the programming of Eloquence, of course, which is very
complex, and about which I'm no expert. LOL

I don't think you're forced to install the software on any of them.
However, many of them come formatted to fat32 and you want to use NTFS for a
number of reasons unless you're running Win-98.

I have two Western Digital external hard drives and they are plug and play
and act no different than a internal drive other than being a little slower
since they are USB. They do have auto backup buttons on them I just don't
use them.
