[gui-talk] Uninstalling IE8:

Joel,

The public version of IE 8 has been available for a few months now,so it's
old news. But many JAWS users, myself included, have experienced problems
with it, so we have decided to revert to IE 7. I actually tried IE 8 twice,
first as a beta tester last year, and then the public release candidate. In
both cases, I encountered problems loading certain web pages, the inability
to play embedded Real Player audio, and generally sluggish performance.
Other JAWS users, on the other hand, have been satisfied with IE 8, which
only works with JAWS versions 9 and 10. If you're happy with IE 7, there's
no compelling reason to upgrade to IE 8 unless you also plan to upgrade to
Windows 7.

Gerald
