Hi Everyone!

I'm a user of that amazing product for Windows called Diskeeper, it
keeps your hard drives de-fragmented at all times and as far as I'm
concerned, if you're using Windows on a computer then its one of those
"Must Have" pieces of software which should be installed on all
systems but that's another story for another post. Being a user of
Diskeeper Corporation software allows me to get notices of other
software releases from this company and my interest was aroused over
the weekend when I received an email from Diskeeper Corporation about
their "Undelete" safety net software, owning Diskeeper entitled me to
a $10.00 discount off the $29.00 purchase price so I decided to
"Trial" the software just to see exactly what it did and how
accessible it was and I'm quite impressed with the software.

Put simply, Diskeeper Undelete looks and feels like your standard
Windows Recycle Bin though it does far more, its a bit like the old
Norton "Smartcan" I remember when I used to use Norton Utilities but
Diskeeper Undelete seems far more powerful and flexible.

The first thing the user notices is that you can have Diskeeper
Undelete keep track of all drives connected to your system including
Network drives, Wonderful!

So how does Undelete work? Anything which is deleted from your
computer is not deleted from the drive, rather its copied to a
location you specify in the Undelete properties. When you open
Undelete you're presented with a Windows Explorer type Window with a
map of your drives, similar to what you'd find if you opened "My
Computer" from the desktop but the difference here is that you're
presented with all files - those which are physically on the in their
folders and those that Undelete is keeping in its safety net - and you
can easily tell which is which, the Screen Reader will tell you the
status of each as you arrow to it. From here you can recover deleted
files - put them back into the original or another location - by using
a menu option, remove the file from Undelete's safety net and so on.

The software is extremely configurable, you can set it to exclude
various types of file from the safety net, tell the software how much
drive space the safety net should occupy, tell Undelete how long it
should keep files in the safety net for etc., all these properties can
be changed globally - for all drives - or locally - different
properties for each drive -.

And now a feature I think which really distinguishes Undelete from any
other piece of File Recovery software I've seen, that's the ability of
the software to keep track of versions of files. Suppose you have a
simple Word document called "Shopping list" and you update this
document every week to reflect your shopping needs for that week,
Undelete will keep track of that document if requested so you can go
back through all the changes you've made each week and - if necessary
- have past versions of the document on hand to work with, as you work
each new version of the document is logged and saved.

You can find this excellent product at http://www.diskeeper.com and
while you're there, download Diskeeper itself and give it a go, you'll
notice a performance boost in your computer soon after installing the
software, I'm sure of it!
