Looking at the fine print it appears that the easy reader express does not
have a text to speech component, that you would have to have the easy reader
software which would be sold to the publisher of this content and that
software costs $2000. The idea being you buy easy reader and then you can
give access to your content through your company. Of course that was for
the basic format, who knows what the costs are for large volume of content.
Easy reader is a software that is accessible to Dophins screen reader. So
we are still stuck with a variety of DAISY and requiring the publisher of
content to reformat their content to this particular flavor of DAISY. And
this doesn't cover rights protected books, so this is only for the out of
copyright content.
