[gui-talk] receipt showing message unread and deleted

When an email client processes a read-receipt.  It automatically lets you
know if the message has been read and at what time.  If the message is
deleted without reading, the client will also send this information to the
sender.  Read or unread, you'll get the message as long as it's in the inbox
and an action is taken. I do believe that individual has just been snitched
off by his or her own email client!
