Way cool! Jaws made that sound like "smokin' menus" at first hearing, but
even if that's what it had said, I would've known whaty it meant.
I'll soon start watching Amazon for announcements attached to the listings
of books to see if Kindle with speech starts being mentioned as one of the
format options.
Where'd you hear about this development?

Hi folks.
Just got through reading about the new Kindle that's coming out in August,
and guess what? It's got spoken menus, along with the text-to-speech
function. Of course, some of the authors and publishers still won't allow
text-to-speech to be enabled, but at least all our hard work is finally
starting to pay off.
