The KNFB reader software has modules for hardware, and optical character
recognition assembled and then configured for specific hardware and OS
models. Along with that also is the compiled text-to-speech modules,
some of which don't compile for some platforms, etc. So it's a
complicated question to know if the KNFB reader can be ported to the
Iphone-probably yes, but is it cost effective is another question.

So, can realspeak voices work with Iphone OS and hardware? I doubt it,
but would hope they get them in that condition soon, sells more stuff
when it works on more platforms.

The Apple API-based accessibility model , paired with actual oversight
of some of the main applications released, is excellent, so holds out a
lot of promise for overall applications accessibility moving forward.
