Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted to the list concerning the
Window-Eyes scripts for StationPlaylist Studio. Version 3.4 of the scripts
was just released and contains the following new features:

Added the Cart List feature. Press Insert-Tab by default to open a list of
all carts, select the one you want and press enter. Only those defined in
Studio are presented. No need of training the scripts about the carts that
are defined in Studio is required. The collection of the carts is done when
the key is pressed.

Added Studio Play List Jump Marks:

The ability to set a Home Play List Mark and to be able to return to this
position in the Play List. The default hotkeys are Shift-H to set the
position and H to perform the jump back to this position.

The ability to set a User-Defined Play List Mark and to be able to return to
this position in the Play List. The default hotkeys are Shift-J to set the
position and J to perform the jump back to this position.

Future enhancements will be added to this area of the scripts as well.

Added a new configuration checkbox in the main Script Preferences dialog to
allow the user of Studio to be reminded about enabling Title Streaming
before beginning their broadcast. The warning will only be spoken if title
streaming is configured in Studio.

A new cart warning sound can be played when a cart finishes playing. Use the
default hotkey of Control-Shift-C to toggle between the warning being
enabled or disabled.

Added a Mic Alarm command to warn if the Microphone is left on past the
configured limit (the default being 30 seconds). Toggle the alarm on and off
with Control-Shift-M. Configuration options can be maintained in the Script
Preferences dialogs. You can control the length of time for the alarm
warning event, you can turn the alarm function on and off, and you may also
define the sound file that plays.

Made the Find Forward and Backward commands more robust in the Track List.

Dozens of code refinements have been made to speed up the scripts as well as
to consolidate functionality for future development work.

This version can be obtained from:

http://www.gwmicro.com/Script_Central/Scripts/Script_Details/?scriptid=1268

This version of the script requires Studio 4.33 or later and Window-Eyes 7.2
with GW Toolkit 8.3 installed.

As a sneak peek as to what is coming in version 3.5 of the scripts:

Key Toggle Announcements such as the Microphone, Pause key, Mute status,
etc., will be either announced via speech or a short series of tones will be
able to be played to alert the user. Toggle between settings with
Control-Shift-S. A sound can be configured to play when the feature is
enabled and disabled. These sounds will be configurable in the
StationPlaylist Studio Script Preferences dialogs.

Custom Request List Reading Settings will be implemented. This includes the
ability to control which columns and headers are spoken as well as the
utilization of Enhanced Arrow keys within the Request List window. The
Custom Track List configuration dialog will be enhanced to allow for both
the Track List or the Request List to be configured. The determination is
based on what list currently has focus.

More features are coming so stay tuned.

Happy streaming everyone,

Jeff Bishop
