[gui-talk] MAGic on a network-based system

My office just installed JAWS and MAGic to my work laptop. Virtually
all of the applications necessary to our jobs are network-based, and it
would be an understatement to say that our network is horribly cluttered
and antiquated. That being said, we currently operate on Windows XP
Professional, and Microsoft 2007. The MAGic and JAWS that were
installed are the latest versions.

The biggest problem at the moment is that MAGic simply will not run on
my laptop without freezing the entire computer. The IT boss seems to
think that it is because it cannot be properly run on a laptop. Is that
true? I have some residual vision in one eye, and am still very
attached to using it when I can. I am also just learning
(self-teaching, at the moment) JAWS, so I truly do not feel comfortable
relying on that alone.
