[gui-talk] issue with Dropbox

Are you sure the on-line folder is actually in your dropbox hierarchy? Alternatively, can you determine the permissions on the on-line folder and do they allow shared access? I've gotta think there's something funny about that on-line folder. Did you use Windows Explorer on your PC or the Dropbox app to create it?
