Have you restarted your machine? Have you done a JAWS Repair? But before 
either of those things, when JAWS says "Reader Reader", have you done a 
Screen Refresh?

Can anyone tell me what the latest version of adobe is so that I can open up 
pdf files?

Right now, when I open up a file, jaws says “reader reader.”
