Subject: [gui-talk] off topic

Good Afternoon all:

I know this is a little bit off topic, & I appologize for this, but I’m getting desparat.

About 3 months ago, I signed up with the California Free phone program. I was given a cordless phone with talking ID. A couple of weeks later, the phone broke. I received a 2nd phone, in a few weeks, that phone also broke. The people at the free phone program told me that after the next phone they give me, &, if that phone breaks, I will not be able to get a 4th phone. This I understand completely their stand on this. About 3 weeks agago, I got my 3rd phone. It is now acting up on me & it will probably break in a couple of days. I found out that the phone they give us is from a company that specializes in phones for the deaf.

Does anyone out there know where I can get a relatively non-expensive phone with talking caller ID?

If anyone has an extra cordless phone that would be willing to sell it to me, that would be fine too.

Please get back to me either on the list or at the email or phone number below.

Again, my sincere appologies for the long message & also the fact that this is somewhat off topic.

Thanks in advance.
