Hello,

I'm volunteering at a radio station which is using a Windows 7
Professional system with an Audio Science sound card with multiple
audio outputs. It appears the onbard audio device in this Lenovo
computer has been disabled. But when I plugged in my USB Logitec
wireless headset audio device and go into the JAWS Utilities menu,
then to Sound Cards and choose the Logitech headphones, JAWS won't use
this device but keeps using the Audio Science device. I got the
Logitech to work by making the Logitech the default audio card, but this
was no good because the other audio programs on the computer then wanted
to use the Logitech instead of the audio devices to which they had been
previously assigned.

Why won't JAWS use the audio card I assigned it to use?

In the old days of JAWS we used to edit the JAWS.ini file or something
like that and specify the audio card to use if it was different than the
Windows default. Is it still possible to do this? I couldn't find this
file in my JAWS 17 folders.

Thank you.

Brian
