[gui-talk] Apple I Pad

I am considering  purchasing my first Apple product.  My computer usage 
mostly involves surfing the net and Email.
I see two options.  First purchase a Mac laptop, and second purchase a I 
Pad and Bluetooth keyboard.
Are there any advantages or disadvantages to either option?  One note is 
that at least in my past use Bluetooth can be a little troublesome as in 
my case it comes and goes dropping the connection.  Any input would be 
greatly appreciated.
