I maintain those at http://www.dlee.org/updates/dell/jfw_dell.exe

That's a direct link, as I never created my typical web page for that particular project.

I have been down for over a month. I just got my computer today. Can the
person who has the JAWS script for Dell audio send me the script again as my
hard drive had to be completely whipped. Thanks in advance.

Greetings:

If you are buying a completely new system, I am strongly recommending
Windows 10 with JAWS 2018, which is the most current version out there. It
is almost impossible now to get anything running Windows 7 these days.

Like Louis, I like the Logitech K360 wireless keyboard because it does have
a numeric keypad, making it quite usable with JAWS.

If you haven't done so already, convert your JAWS license to that of a home
user, thus reducing the biennial maintenance fee to $120.

Aloha,

Curtis Chong

Wrestling with a seemingly moribund 2015 HP PC made accessible with JAWS 17
and Open Book 8 or 9 in the Windows 7 operating system I am seeking advice
on choosing a suitable affordable laptop I can use with JAWS 17
and my Open Book and my HP Jet something HP 4____ printer/scanner
and my Belkin internet router and easy connectability to network wifi
outside my home :a) a one with Windows 7 to be used with JAWS
17 and then early next year I hope an upgrade to JAWS 18 OR b) one new with
Windows 10 ideal for use with JAWS 18 that meets the above description---I
Not asking anyone to try to push any particular laptops but I am seeking
this advice as part of my decision as to whether and when I can afford a
new laptop or refurbished laptop and be able to soon upgrade to the latest
JAWS for home use. Also 1.If I use a usb connected external standard
keyboard to operate the JAWS
loaded laptop do I set the option for laptop or for a standard
keyboard in the JAWS menu? 2. I now use JAWS 17 and Open Book--but does my
JAWS 17 include the same capabilities for ocr scanning to speech as does
the Open Book?if so where in JAWS do I find that? How do I use JAWS 17 to
scan a print page and turn it into speech? 3.
Will my I hope imminent upgrade JAWS 18 include such ocr scanning to speech
faculties like those in Open Book?.I am not a complete ignoramus but I am
not very proficient or literate in computer usage or accessible
software and terminology either,just an
elder without any special tech knowledge although the experience
of using a pc with the above kinds of software off and on the
 internet since 2004.
Can y'all please inform me of some ideal or optimal for JAWS users
affordable laptops as described above and without a crowded cramped
keyboard, and with a keyboard as much like a standard external keyboard as
possible ,and that on a laptop capable of --with more hthan one usb
port--capable of being operated using a standard American English external
keyboard via a usb connector cable? Will my JAWS 17 work and will my Open
Book work in Windows 10 in a satisfactory way not likely
to frustrate a grizzled someone like me? I would very much appreciate
any
guidance y'all are able to offer,or any pointers to where or who that
might give guidance to me. This will influence my portable
hardware JAWS acquisition decisions. And does anyone see any
advantage to the current PACMate over a JAWS-using laptop?Merci beaucoup..
