If you have Windows 10, you can go into Settings & go to Aps, then go to
Default. You can change something in there to make Oulook the default for
all emails if you use Oulook.

Regarding blank pages in Chrome, I, too, have noticed that upon occasion,
pages come up with nothing detectable by JAWS. In my experience, this
behavior seems to happen ore often with chrome than with Internet Explorer
or Firefox. I have tried various strategies, including F5, Insert Escape,
moving back and forth between the Desktop and the web page. These do not
seem to work reliably.

Regarding the second point, pressing enter on a link in Outlook to start a
new email, this is not surprising since, if Chrome is the default browser,
that is what Outlook will choose to open. Interestingly enough, if you tell
Outlook to display an email as a web page, the only browser that comes up
when you do this is Internet Explorer.

I have stopped using Chrome as my default browser because of these problems,
and also because some banking sites seem still to work better with Internet
Explorer, ancient as this browser is.

Hello all,

I am using Google Chrome as my internet client, and within the last few
weeks, I have been experiencing some problems.

I notice a couple of things.

First, when I open the Chrome browser, I will hear the name of the webpage,
but then as I arrow up and down, and listen for links, JAWS 2018, latest
version just says blank.

Also, and this could be an MS Outlook 2016 problem running under the latest
version of Windows 10, I notice that whenever I press on a link in  an
e-mail to send a new e-mail,  it sends me to Chrome, and not Outlook.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
