[GUI-Talk] Problems with Chrome

Hi,
Well the odd thing also is that pressing alt-spacebar to bring up Chrome's
menu when it is misbehaving does not work. And yes, I have tried pressing
insert-escape, but this does not change the behavior. Also, the page it
should be trying to load is my default webpage, which is the Illinois
affiliate webpage. Now, tabbing and shift tabbing does not always work. But
I did that this morning, and as you said, JAWS recognized the information on
the screen.

Hi, Denise.

If the Web page in Chrome loads and JAWS seems to misidentify the page as
being blank, try pressing the tab key once or twice. This may get JAWS to
take a second look at what's been loaded, so to speak, and you might find
that the Web page is now readable. Also, does pressing insert-escape help?
This refreshes the JAWS virtual buffer, which may also help.

Does this problem happen in all pages that you try to open or just one
specific page?

Hello all,

I am using Google Chrome as my internet client, and within the last few
weeks, I have been experiencing some problems.

I notice a couple of things.

First, when I open the Chrome browser, I will hear the name of the webpage,
but then as I arrow up and down, and listen for links, JAWS 2018, latest
version just says blank.

Also, and this could be an MS Outlook 2016 problem running under the latest
version of Windows 10, I notice that whenever I press on a link in an
e-mail to send a new e-mail, it sends me to Chrome, and not Outlook.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
