[GUI-Talk] Emojis with the Latest JAWS 2021

Hi. here is what I do. Press WIN+Period, 😁 Then use up/down/left/right
until I reach the one I want. Then I press enter to choose it and then I
press escape to close it. I have not tried this with Jaws, but I can say
for certain that it works with NVDA.

Respectfully,

> Hi Ted, it certainly worked. Also just so everyone knows, this is not specifically a Jaws feature. Pressing WINDOWS+Period is a Windows hot key to bring up the emoji panel. This means that the same feature will work with Jaws, NVDA, and Narrator. I have written this message using Thunderbird on Windows 10 and NVDA for the screen reader and the following winking face emoji was done this way. 😉

Prior to the most recent update, released yesterday, I was able to press Windows period to bring up the emoji grid and then use my left, right, up, or down arrow keys to focus on the emoji I wanted. JAWS would say the emoji I was focused on as I arrowed to it.

The two people with whom I spoke at Vispero could not duplicate my issue.😊 This is not a criticism; merely a factual statement. We're still working on this issue.
