Hi Curtis and all,
I was wondering if it's ok to install the next JAWS Annual before installing the latest updates?
Thanks for any answers.
Linda

Rob:

Windows period is the keyboard command. You are then presented with a grid. I fixed my problem by completely removing JAWS, including shared components, and then doing a complete reinstall.

Cordially,

Curtis Chong

How did you get it to read the imgies? When I pressed Windows key+. Jaws didn't read anything & I pressed the up & down arrows & nothing happened. Or, @ least JAWS didn't read any of them.

Hi Ted, it certainly worked. Also just so everyone knows, this is not specifically a Jaws feature. Pressing WINDOWS+Period is a Windows hot key to bring up the emoji panel. This means that the same feature will work with Jaws, NVDA, and Narrator. I have written this message using Thunderbird on Windows 10 and NVDA for the screen reader and the following winking face emoji was done this way. 😉

Prior to the most recent update, released yesterday, I was able to press Windows period to bring up the emoji grid and then use my left, right, up, or down arrow keys to focus on the emoji I wanted. JAWS would say the emoji I was focused on as I arrowed to it.

The two people with whom I spoke at Vispero could not duplicate my issue.😊 This is not a criticism; merely a factual statement. We're still working on this issue.
