[GUI-Talk] Comment function in Word

Hello All

There was an Office update a week ago, and somehow the insert comment function changed...right during finals week!

I used to be able to insert a comment by pressing alt.control.m, type the comment in the pane, then press escape to return to the document.

Now, when I press escape, Jaws reads "cancel comment". Then I found out I need to press control.enter to save the comment, press tab then escape to return to document. I can also press F6.

The problem is that when I return to the document, the cursor jumps back a few paragraphs, and I have to find my place again.  Few times Word closed and restarted and I was prompted to open the automatically saved document.

Did anyone notice this strange behavior, and is there a cure for it?

Thank you for your feedback. If no one has an answer, I will contact the Microsoft Accessibility team; I just thought someone from this group probably figured it out already.
