Aloha All,
Let's end subminimum wages for the blind and disabled of Hawaii. We need
you to submit your testimonies in support of this bill. If anyone can make
it to the hearing we would greatly appreciate it. Remember that your
testimonies are very important. It is also important if we can get as many
of you to go to the hearing if you can. Don't forget to get as many of your
friends and family to submit a testimony in support of this bill.
Mahalo and Aloha,
Virgil .

Subject: TESTIMONY NEEDED - Parental Rights Hearing on Tuesday

Aloha Federation Ohana,

As noted in my alert message on Thursday night, we have a bunch of hearings
coming up on Tuesday. I didn't get to pick the hearing dates and times on
these hearings, but we can still get them done if we work at it.

We need to get these testimonies submitted by the end of the night on
Sunday, February 4, which is tomorrow.

I'm sending this email requesting testimonies for House Bill 1928, Relating
to a Right to Parent for Blind Persons. Here's the hearing info:

Tuesday, February 6, 2018
8:30 AM
Conference Room 329
State Capitol
415 South Beretania Street

It is perfectly legitimate to send in the same testimony you wrote for the
hearing on January 31, but the only difference is that we need to put the
new dates, rooms, bill numbers, and names on it. I have attached a template
testimony to this email. Feel free to use it just like this or change it to
your liking.

These testimonies can be submitted by emailing them to
HHStestimony at capitol.hawaii.gov<mailto:HHStestimony at capitol.hawaii.gov> or
send it to me so that I can forward it.

If you don't have time to write a testimony and want me to put your name and
address on one, just send me your name and address and ask me to put your
info on this template and submit it.

I want to make this as easy as possible. If you do submit via email to the
committee, please do Cc me just so that I can keep count on how many are
submitted.

Please call, text, or email me if you have any questions.

Mahalo nui loa!

Subject: ALERT: More Hearings on Tuesday

Aloha my Federation Ohana,

I received three (3) hearing notifications today, which told me that we have
three (3) hearings on Tuesday for our legislative priorities. Our equality
is catching on like wildfire, and all we have to do is submit written
testimony and show up in person to keep the fire burning.

I just got home from Washington Seminar and haven't even had time to thank
everyone who submitted written testimony and attended the hearing yesterday
for Senate Bill 2208, Relating to a Right to Parent for Blind Persons. We
had some opposition, but our friends on the Senate Committee on Human
Services were able to help us overpower them. They will come back to fight
again, and we have to take their threat seriously.

On Tuesday, February 6, there will be three (3) public hearings on our
bills. There will be one hearing for the parental rights bill in the House
Committee on Health and Human Services. We will need testimonies submitted
again, and this should be pretty similar to yesterday's hearing.

There will be hearings in the House and Senate committees on labor for
subminimum wage legislation. I am researching and strategizing with our
allies in order to put together the best plan of action.

I will be back in touch tomorrow with more direction and templates for
testimony.

Please, let's be ready to submit testimony!

Mahalo nui loa,

Justin
