well Maryse,
in 1910 there were no organized services for blind people. some
local and regional charities did some. cane travel as we know it was
systematized and taught from world war two, another 30-plus years later.
this 13 year old girl would have had a difficult time being blind in
that time.
and by the way, our jayhawk e-mail list is more relaxed about topics
which are welcome.
