I have been an avid NFBNewsline user for many years.  In the past, blind people relied on the broadcast media to gain information.  This began to change when radio reading services came in to being in the 1960's.  
I believe that having a system which allows the user to manage what is heard is best.  
I use the phone service and the NFB Newsline app and find them to be excellent.
