[Home-on-the-range] What is South-central up to?

Hello fellow federationists, 

 

 

The South-Central chapter (SCC) will rent a van for those attending the
state convention from the Wichita and surrounding area.  The van will pick
everyone up at the parking lot of the public library at 8:00 AM on Friday
November 4th.  The van will leave at 8:00 am, so be a little bit early.  

 

Emily has been trying to reach Debbie Heron VI Teacher to finalize the date
to make the donation of the braille map.  Emily was finally told that it
would not be possible to let anyone but Emily come to the school to donate
the map.  Emily will make other arrangements to make the map available to
the students in the VI program. 

 

SCC will take pizza to Envision employees on October 31, 2016.  SCC will
take pizza to both shifts for their lunch meal breaks.  Emily, Dianne, Donna
and others will meet on Saturday October 22, at 1:00 pm, at Donna's home, to
put packets together to pass out with the pizza.  Emily will pick up card
stock and candy.  Donna has Kernel books and paper goods for the pizza.  We
will divide into 2 teams and take pizza and packets during the day at 11:30
AM and 7:30 PM.  Emily will contact Envision about coming out 30 minutes
prior to break and setting up.      

 

Emily will be presenting at State convention on her settlement with WSU and 

her issues with VR.  

 

Discussion was held on what to do for our Christmas party.  It was decided
that we would look at the availability of The Wine Dive.  Stay tuned for
further details on the SCC Christmas party.  

 

SCC is looking forward to seeing everyone at State Convention November 4-6,
2016 at The Ramada Inn 420 SE. 6th Ave. Topeka, KS (785) 234-5400.
