Greetings fellow Kansas Federationists,
At our November monthly state board meeting you’re board of officers and directors voted to grant some financial assistance to those who wish to participate in the Washington seminar to be held during the week of January 28, 2018. Students will be assisting in the amount of $900 per person and $800 for all other non-student participants. To be eligible to receive financial assistance you must have or do the following:

1) be a member in good standing of a chapter or division of NFB Kansas;
2) have attended at least 75% of your chapter or divisional meetings within the past 12 months;
3) communicate your desire to participate with financial assistance to your chapter or divisional president. This should be done by no later than December 15.

Chapter and divisional president will communicate their lists to our state president whose decision is final. I understand the deadline seems a little early, but past experience tells us that some folks need to have their checks sent to them before hand in order to make travel reservations.

Rest a sure that further information will be forthcoming regarding legislative issues and the Hotel room reservation process as soon as I receive word from our national office. Meanwhile, I wish you and yours a joyful holiday season.

Best regards,
Rob Tabor first vice president/ legislative director National Federation of the blind of Kansas
