[Home-on-the-range] Intro to blindness skills workshop for senior's

Hello federationists - here’s a very special opportunity for some senior’s experiencing vision loss and wanting to know more  about how to do everyday things without vision. 

The NFB of Kansas Senior Division is holding a short  workshop for just this purpose before the November NFBK state convention in Wichita. Several trainers from BLIND Inc will join us in this effort,  November 1-4, 2018.  A more structured training schedule will take place Thursday and Friday, November 1-2 and an a time to use some of these skills with continued NFB support throughout the Convention weekend. 

The affiliate is covering most expenses for this special opportunity. Do you know anyone that might be interested in taking part in this special  workshop? Do they have someone, such as a wife or husband or adult child that would like to learn more about helping their loved one become more independent? The workshop will have people assisting the significant others to figure out how they can provide the most effective ways for encouraging the use of techniques being introduced during the workshop.
