It is with horrifying shock and great regret that I must pass along this article announcing the death of our very own Tamara Kearney who passed away from injuries she sustained as a result of an auto pedestrian accident on July 29. As you will see, the article is quite sketchy, so we don’t know the circumstances. No doubt more critical information will come to light as local authorities continue to investigate the accident.

Meanwhile, I ask that you give her husband Greg the privacy and space he needs to process grief and two make funeral arrangements. As we all adjust to this great loss, there will be plenty of time to express our condolences. As we await further information, let us all keep Tamara‘s family in our thoughts.

A Lawrence woman has died from injuries she suffered last month in a vehicle-pedestrian accident, the Lawrence Police Department said Sunday.

The department announced on social media that Tamara Kearney, 62, of Lawrence, died Saturday of injuries from a July 29 accident. The police department did not identify Kearney in  <https://www2.ljworld.com/news/public-safety/2020/jul/31/pedestrian-hit-by-car-lawrence/> earlier statements released on the accident.

According to the statement, Kearney was struck by a moving vehicle while attempting to cross the intersection of Clinton Parkway and Lawrence Avenue with her service dog. Kearney was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The service dog had only minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident, according to the statement.
