Sorry I couldn't be there.  I was on the phone with Logisticare from 9:00 Tuesday morning until after 3:00 in the afternoon trying to work out my transportation for doctor's appointments scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.  KUMed Center is so huge and they scheduled my rides for the wrong address even though I know I told them the correct addresses.  I was scheduled for the Rainbow campus when both appointments are at the Overland Park campus.  Once we got that scheduled, they transposed dates and times.  Further complicating things is that Thursday's appointment time is outside of the hours of operation for Indi Inc. and it had to be re-routed to another transportation provider.   I had to call Indi 3 times and Logisticare 5 times in order to get it all straight.  Add in the waiting time for each of the 5 Logisticare calls and the added telescreening for Covid-19 and it was after 3:00 before I got everything finalized.  By then, I was to stressed out to do anything accept relax with a good book and a marguerita when Gerrica left after her second half of the split shift she is temporarily working.  My weekend PCA caught Covid during the last week in June and for reasons unknown has decided not to return to work.  So, once again, I have been interviewing applicants for the second caregiver positions.    Yesterday was lost because there were 3 parts to the stress test, an hour between parts 1 and 2, and a 3 hour wait time before part 3.  Add to that, a new Orthopedic Surgeon.  My original doctor is now out of the picture   for undisclosed health reasons and may not return to the practice at all.  So, now, I am seeing his partner today and my surgery will take place within the next 30 days.  I will let you know when the surgery is finally, really scheduled.  Enjoy the convention everyone. Ashley, we will definitely miss you at state caucus and we appreciate your willingness to take the time to give your input on the resolutions. Be sure to state whether you support or oppose H resolution and we will count your vote as if you were present for the carcass. I don’t think this approach runs a foul of the NFB constitutions prohibition against voting by proxy As the concern about proxy voting has to do with The election of officers and board positions. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the convention as best you can under these difficult circumstances.
