Here are last month's board meeting minutes.

08/08/2021 Board Meeting Minutes

Called to order at 3:02 p.m. by Robert Fuller, Wood

Attendence: Roets, Page, Anderson, Hemphill, Tabor, Finger, Roberds, Luka,
Fuller

June Minutes approved by Tabor

Financial report for June 2021 Fuller:

June 2021 total:  $320,982.76.

As of Friday, August 6, 2021: $326,653.89

Zoom license was paid

Roll call checks all cleared

Christmas fundraiser letter for shae in final approval with Patty Chang

Sexual assault/herassment coverage added to our policy

Tabor gave an update on the state use law committee

Convention business: Wood

We got Easy Pieces for entertainment at convention

Convention agenda will be done by the end of the  next week

There will be the usual tech seminar on Friday afternoon with Nanopac, who
will sponsor our lunch on Saturday

Newsletter should be out by September 15, deadline is Sep. 1.

Hotel room deadline is Oct. 22.

Convention will be hybrid as of now

Senior Retreat: Hemphill

Virtual on Sep 19-25

Individual application and $50 cost. No NFB membership required, but you
must be legally blind or have had a serious visual decrease.

Page suggested $500 to sponsor up to 10 people to attend, Tabor offered the
motion, seconded by Anderson

Forward information to anyone you thin could benefit/attend

Roets will put it on facebook and will provide it to senior group at
Envision and suggest Dianne give presentation

Anderson said the state rehabilitation council is looking for new members.
Next meeting is in September. He thinks he’ll stay on the council.

Tom page said he might suggest people from the board to join a special
education committee

Scholarship paperwork is not ready yet, so no applicants yet

North-central chapter will have a non 24 speaker at their meeting  in
september

Luka asked if there is financial aid for non first timers to attend
convention. Page said to put it into a request to their chapter president

We will discuss grants to chapters to help with transportation and banquet
at the next meeting

Next meeting is on Sep. 12 at 3 p.m.
