Explore your artistic potential with Creative Aging, a series of art workshops for adults 50 and older.


 


Join us for Curious about Clay!  Teaching artist  <http://www.stinapuotinen.com/about> Stina Puotinen will guide participants through the art of  Ceramics over 5 sessions - 

Thursdays May 26th, June 9, 16, & 30 (not 23rd)from 5pm - 6:30pm. in person at Andrew Heiskell Library. 

This series of art-making workshops led by artist and educator Stina Puotinen is designed to connect participants with their creativity while engaging with the Guggenheim Museum's collection and exhibitions. Through conversation and observation, this five-part class will explore a range of techniques and approaches to making ceramic objects including stamping, carving, and applying textures. Participants will have the opportunity to share their work and other resources with the class group both during and between sessions—“homework” optional! Materials will be provided for this program.  Attendance at all sessions is recommended. Space is limited | Registration is recommended.

Creative Aging is a series of free art classes for adults 50 and older. This year, online and in person programs are available from branches throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. *  Skill prerequisites: No prior experience required. This program is perfect for all skill levels.
