I started as a cashier and was moved to the maintenance department for cash related issues, which finding out years later an employee who counted down my register was in fact stealing cash out of my drawer. I applied for nermious position at the company and was denied every time. I ended up calling Bentonville, Arkansas to address my concerns. It took that to get me into a sales positon where I thrived and started cashiering again. (no issues), I left due to illness and now am working for Dillons stores Inc. a sister company of the Kroger corporation. I started in 2020 in the dairy with hardly any training and I moved to the front end department as a cashier but never got trained until I just got on a register and started working. I asked numerious times to be trained. I only got trained because I just did it, I felt like I had to prove that I could in order to get anywhere.

(How is this an issue and what is that supposed to mean), She had me do cleaning of the store not one associate taht I know of compnained she said I was "missing things." I told her that I have a visual disability and try to the best of my ability. She took me off that job did not even tell me just quit scheduling me for it and gave it to someone else who did a worse job that I did and they where able bodied., and gave it back to me with no explanation.
> Also told me "That I am glad you have all this experience but I need someone who can do the job." my response was how can I know if I can or can not unless I am given that chance.
> She will assign me tasks I do them and then they are taken away from me. she thinks that because I have a disability I can not do things. This so far from the truth. I've asked to go full time and I want to apply for other positons but I am not because I feel that I am not going to get them.
> Also they cry and scream that they need people and need help but they keep dropping hours. I have a wife with spina biffita, and a home and family. We are both on disabilty but it does not cover all the bills. I am at a loss as to what to do.

Hi Tod:
After speaking with the President of our affiliate, I suggest that you contact the Disability Rights Center in Topeka. They should be able to assist you with the issues raised regarding Dillons.
Cordially,
Tom Anderson
