[Home-on-the-Range] Fraudulent email warning

Good morning Federation colleagues,

In recent days there has been a flurry of messages purportedly from state president Tom Page or myself making strange and unexpected requests. The most disturbing instance came from a list member who received a message purportedly from Tom Page asking her to purchase a $500 gift card from her own personal funds. Such emails are fraudulent and should be deleted immediately.

In most cases, this can be easily determined by checking the senders address bar. If the email address is not that of either Tom or myself you can be assured it is a fraud. Unfortunately, vigilance will be required on the part of all of us until a stronger spam filtration system can be developed on our national listservs. Thank you in advance for your attention and vigilance.

Best regards,
Rob Tabor | first vice president national Federation of the blind of Kansas
