June 2023 NFB  Board Meeting Minutes

Attendance: Roets, Wood, Tabor, Hemphill, Anderson, Fuller, Finger, Stanzel, Morgan, Roberds, Stillwell

Called to order at 3:02 by Tabor

Minutes approved by Tabor

Treasurer’s report from April 240,902.45

Report as of 06/08- 231,320.45

Insurance bill is $531.

Shae funds were moved to the 909 accounts

Donna asked if Fuller got the email bill for the hotel, he said he got something but wasn’t sure, so he’d call her after the meeting to straighten it out.

National convention updates-

12 people need funding for convention

Allocations for funds for National Convention

White cane fund- $500

Jernigan- $500

Sun fund- $500

Tenbrook Fund- $500

Scholarship breakfast- $500

Kids camp- $500

Door Prize- $50

Donna motioned, Anderson seconded, passed

 

Annual corporate report has to be files with secretary of state by July 1

 

State convention update-

Holiday Inn Wichita East at Rock and Kellogg at $125 a night including breakfast. Contract was signed. Senior workshop pwill start at 9:00 a.m on 11/3. Agenda for Saturday in in progress. Overland park contract did not goi through for 2024 so we will be looking for a new hotel for that year. Charlie Wilks will be performing after banquet, then we will have a fundraiser for South-Central. $1 to request a song and $5 to do karaoke.

Senior workshop update-

Hemphill said it will be from about 9-4:30. The senior division is working on a flyer to be approved by Page. She asked if logo being used must be approved by national and Donna said no. There will be teaching tables with times rotations. The areas will be technology, Newsline, medical, home living and O&M. Dianne is hoping to have a speaker on nutrition before lunch and an inspirational speaker after lunch.

 

Anderson and Finger talked a little about their advisory committees.
