Good morning Kansas Federation Family,

As previously announced in your Kansas NFB board of officers and directors, have voted to allocate a scholarship in the amount of $1500 per person to enable you to attend the 2023 national convention in Houston, Texas from July 1 through July 6. It has come to our attention that some who have been approved by our state President, Tom Page for financial assistance have been asking why they have not received their funds. This concern is very understandable, as we are nearing the end of the month, the May 31 convention registration deadline is rapidly approaching, and people are concerned about making their travel and hotel room reservations. Please rest assured that funds will be coming. The reason for the unexpected delay is very simply explained. To raise enough cash to cover the scholarships, it was necessary to transfer some assets from our investment portfolio. Unfortunately, there were some unexpected delays in transmittal of the funds into our main operating bank account. Again, rest assured, your funds will be communicated to you in plenty of time to make arrangements to attend this year‘s convention.

Please feel free to reach out to Tom Page or myself if you have any further questions.

Best regards,
Rob Tabor, | first vice president/legislative Director national Federation of the blind of Kansas
