Patrons can now schedule one-on-one time with a Talking Tactile Tablet. What does this mean?

The Talking Tactile Tablet, or T3, is a system that helps you practice your tactile literacy skills. You can explore raised-line drawings by touch and play games that help you to focus your skills. The sheets start out with large, simple shapes and progress to more complex figures like plants, animals, maps and diagrams.

You do not need to know Braille to use the T3, but it might help you get ready for learning Braille by cultivating your readiness to explore by touch.
