Hello, everyone. Here is information about the Midwest Ability Summit. The
Johnson-Wyandotte County Chapter will have a booth there where we will hand
out Braille/large-print flyers about our chapter, the Seniors Division, and
the Blind Christians Group. We will also hand out Braille alphabet cards and
other materials from the NFB.

 

I hope you can join us on Saturday. If you would like to help staff the
booth for an hour or two, please let Michael Nava know. His phone number is

The Midwest Ability Summit will take place on August 9, 2025, at the
Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

 

Event Details

*	Date and Time: The summit is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025,
from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM CDT.  

 

*	Location: It will be held at the Overland Park Convention Center,
located at 6000 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS.  

 

Purpose and Activities

The Midwest Ability Summit is designed to be a comprehensive resource for
individuals with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and
professionals. It aims to provide valuable information about resources and
products available to the disabled community. The event will feature:

*	Educational Seminars: Sessions for professionals to learn about best
practices and new developments in disability services.
*	Exhibitor Booths: Opportunities for service providers to showcase
their products and services.
*	Adaptive Sports and Recreation: Demonstrations and activities to
promote physical fitness and engagement within the community. 


This summit is a free event open to the public, making it an excellent
opportunity for networking and learning about available resources in the
