I believe the mailing list is back up so I am sending out the May board
meeting minutes that have been approved.

Present: Rob Tabor, Donna Wood, Dianne Hemphill, Bruce Roberds, Emily
Schlenker, Michael Nava, Robert Fuller
Guests: Don and Jody Mulik, Susie Stanzel, Sharon Luka, Anya Fuller
Meeting called to order by Vice-"President Rob Tabor at 3:10 PM.
Secretaries report:
corection to the zoom address in the minutes. zoomñfbks_org. Motion made by
Nava that the minutes be accepted as posted with the correction, seconded
by Schlenker, motion carried.
Treasurer's report
YTD
net: $185,032.10 motion made by Dwood, that the treasurer's report be
accepted as given, seconded by Nava, motion carried.
Treasury business
report from Dick Mellinger on investments. 2 equity positions Apple and ETF
snp500 pulls out dividen stock to balance the Apple stock. Apple has
tripled in value from the cost basis. entire account $92,000 ending value
$181,000 we have double our investment cost basis. ETF $87,000 in value
Hemphill asked if there were any other kind of investments that are less
risky, maybe even out of the market? Mellinger explained that he carefully
made a risk analysis based on the NFBKS board and the needs of the
organization, and still feels we are invested properly. He feels that the
Apple stock will rebound. It is still a solid company.
Stanzel watches market closely market, when the market is volatile, could
we contact Dick and sell quickly? Dick answered that he is available during
the day and can sell in the same day. Dick does not anticipate Apple stock
going down again. Dick's advice the board risk tolerance is a good match
for the investment we have today. Hemmphill is concerned that we are not
diverse enough in our stocks. Dick explained that the ETF is mixed stock of
the SNP500.
setting amounts for honor roll at national convention
motioned made by Wood that we go back to $250 per fund, for a total of
$1,250 . Roberds seconded, motion carried.
State convention update
Donna updated the board on the progress of the state convention.
Registration is now $10 and $15 at the door. Lunch is $25 and banquet $35.
Vendor tables will be $75. Donna announced that hospitality will be
provided by the hotel, for anyone registered. Tickets can be purchased for
those not registered at hotel but attending convention. Including in
hospitality is three free alcoholic beverages.
Don Mulik asked if the hotel had a national and state flag. DONNA will ask
hotel if they have state and national flags for presentations at opening
ceremony.
Sharon announced Anna Hindman's passing away on March 16, 2025.
next meeting june 8, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
Meeting adjourned at 4:22 PM.
